Audioslave’s first performance in over a decade at Anti Inaugural Ball

We’re just a few weeks into 2017 and already we’ve got a reunion that’s sure to get people buzzing. Though Prophets of Rage top the bill, Audioslave are sure to get quite a bit of attention as they will reportedly reunite for the upcoming “Prophets of Rage and Friends Anti-Inaugural Ball.”

The event was just announced, set to take place this Friday (Jan. 20) at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles. In addition to Prophets of Rage and Audioslave, those attending can look for performances from Vic Mensa, Jackson Browne, Jack Black and the Los Angeles Freedom Choir.

After Rage Against the Machine went on hiatus, the trio of Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk recruited Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell to start the new band Audioslave. Together they recorded a trio of albums before disbanding in 2007. However, in 2015, Cornell sparked interest in a revival of the band, stating in an interview, “I think it would be great. We did a lot of songs and with the benefit of not having done anything with those guys for so long, I can’t imagine what it would be. It would be a really amazing experience just to get back and work with the same guys again.”
